Motion Design Guideline
Sajad Mirmoini (aka KarpanArt) is a well known, sophisticated illustrator & artistic motion designer who took the lead on creating the overall characteristics of motions based on Alex Grey's paintings.
Base Setup & Technical Direction
Farshid Mousavi is one of the most talented CG artists I've worked with in the past couple of years. He's the founder of NamaBeNama animation & VFX studio based in Tehran.
He's not only charming & skilled, but also an excellent workflow designer for a wide range of projects, which makes him a joy to work with. He created a baseline 3D concept for all the paintings so we can match them all to their respective position for a consistent motion design through all 6 paintings.
Tests
In order to create a fit motion based on pre designs that could make up for the soul of the artist's vision, team started playing with a creative mindset to get the direction right while the whole process was in a back & forth between us & the producer.
